Having car trouble can at times make a person feel as if he or she is having the worst day. The driver may have to stop on the side of the road in order to try to fix the problem or to wait for help. Unfortunately, passing vehicles can pose a substantial danger to drivers stopped on the roadway, and a serious accident could ensure. If a person is killed in such an incident, a wrongful death claim may be warranted.

A teacher was recently killed in an accident under similar circumstances in Illinois. It was reported that her vehicle was stopped on the roadway due to engine trouble when another vehicle collided with it. The teacher had apparently been on her way to work when she had to stop and the accident took place.

The teacher was 26 years old and regrettably suffered fatal injuries in the tragedy. The driver of the other vehicle did not wish to be treated after the incident. That driver received a citation for improper lane usage due to crossing the fog line. It was not noted whether other charges could potentially result from the fatal crash.

Losing a family member so suddenly can cause many parties to not think clearly about the situation. They may wonder what they need to do to handle the event in the correct way, but they may not understand certain processes. If the family wishes to seek compensation for the individual killed in this Illinois car accident, they may want to explore information on wrongful death claims to determine whether seeking compensation could be right for them.
