Car accident injures multiple individuals in Illinois

On Behalf of | Apr 11, 2015 | Car Accidents

When a driver loses control of a vehicle, that individual and any passengers inside the vehicle are at risk of being injured. Many drivers are unable to get a vehicle back under control, and vehicle crashes can often result. When only one vehicle is involved in a car accident in which multiple people are injured, the driver of that vehicle could potentially face legal action from seriously injured individuals wishing to seek compensation.

It was recently reported that a single-car accident took place in Illinois that injured multiple individuals. An 18-year-old male was reportedly driving a vehicle when he apparently lost control. The vehicle was traveling south when it went off the side of the roadway and crashed into a tree. There were four additional passengers in the vehicle at the time of the crash.

It was reported that the driver had to be cut from the vehicle and suffered injuries, and two male passengers and two female passengers were also injured in the incident. All occupants were transported from the scene to an area hospital. Authorities are currently investigating the accident to determine what factors may have contributed to the incident taking place.

Because the car accident resulted in multiple individuals suffering injuries, it is possible that civil claims could result. Personal injury claims could be filed against the party considered responsible in order to seek reparations for damages resulting from the serious crash. Information on personal injury claims in Illinois could help concerned parties determine whether it is a step they may wish to take.
