Car accident kills Illinois driver

On Behalf of | Jul 3, 2015 | Car Accidents

When a car accident takes place, the individuals involved will likely feel a sudden rush of various emotions. Shock, fright and pain are just a few things that a person may feel after a car accident, and unfortunately, the family members of someone killed in a crash may feel those same emotions. If a person is killed in an accident, the family may wish to file a legal claim in order to seek financial damages based upon evidence of negligence by another party to the tragedy.

A family in Illinois may be considering such action after a recent accident. It was reported that four vehicles were involved in a crash that proved fatal. A landscaping truck was reportedly traveling east when the driver failed to maintain the proper lane. As a result, the truck hit the side of a dump truck that was traveling west then also hit a car and a van.

The driver of the car suffered fatal injuries in the accident. The identity of that driver was not released by authorities at the time of the report. It was noted that the driver of the landscaping truck was 20 years old. Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident.

Due to the sudden loss of their loved one, the family of the victim may experience various hardships. Emotional pain can take a considerable toll, and financial burdens relating to funeral expenses and other costs can be difficult to handle as well. In order to perhaps better deal with these issues, the family may wish to file a wrongful death claim against the driver considered responsible for the car accident in order to pursue compensation for damages permitted under Illinois law.
