When an individual suffers serious injuries, he or she may face difficulties that could lead to additional burdens. One man in Illinois may be facing hardships after a recent car accident caused him to be ejected from the tractor on which he was riding. Reports stated that the tractor was pulling a grain wagon while traveling west on the roadway. At the same time, an SUV was also traveling west behind the tractor.
The SUV collided with the rear of the wagon that was being pulled by the tractor. The collision caused the driver of the tractor to be thrown. A photo from the scene shows debris scattered across the roadway, and part of the grain wagon appears to have ended up in a shallow ditch on the side of the road.
The driver of the tractor was seriously injured in the accident. He was taken from the scene by helicopter in order to be treated. At the time of the report, he was considered to be in stable condition, though it was still considered serious. The driver of the SUV had minor injuries, and it was noted that he was cited for failure to reduce speed in order to avoid an accident.
Though the driver of the tractor is likely to survive his injuries, he may still experience considerable difficulties that could negatively impact his life for a long time to come. Financial damages for medical bills and other expenses could arise from the car accident, and he may wish to seek compensation for those damages from the driver considered at fault. Filing a personal injury claim against the party believed responsible could allow the Illinois man work toward gaining those reparations.
